Gai Wu RFC Announces Title Sponsorship with Clement Shield to Advance Rugby Excellence in Hong Kong

Gai Wu RFC is is pleased to announce a landmark title sponsorship agreement with Clement Shield, marking the beginning of an in-depth collaboration​ aiming to elevate the club’s development and community impact. Under these two years agreement, the club will be officially known as “Clement Shield | VetiVa Gai Wu RFC” for the duration of the sponsorship.

Founded in Hong Kong, Clement Shield is a leading provider of specialist security, risk management, and crisis response services. With a reputation for professionalism, discretion, and operational excellence, the company serves a diverse portfolio of clients across the public and private sectors. Clement Shield is committed to supporting initiatives that promote resilience, leadership, and community engagement—values that align closely with the ethos of Gai Wu RFC.

Established in 1987, Gai Wu has long been a pillar of women’s rugby in Hong Kong, fostering talent and promoting the sport at both grassroots and elite levels. This title sponsorship will provide vital resources to enhance training infrastructure, expand youth development programmes, and strengthen outreach initiatives across the community.

The sponsorship will take effect from 1 July 2025 with Clement Shield Gai Wu RFC set to compete under its new name in upcoming domestic and international fixtures.
